Winnie the Pooh: The Complete Collection of Stories and

Poems was originally published in 1994, but this beautifully

produced slip-cased edition has been specially created to

commemorate the 75th anniversary of the publication of the very

first stories about Winnie the Pooh.

It consists of the classic, well-loved, tried-and-tested stories

by AA Milne, from "Winnie the Pooh" (1926), "The House at Pooh

Corner" (1928) and the poetry from "When We Were Very Young" (1924)

and "Now We Are Six" (1927).

A.A. Milne grew up in a school - his parents ran Henley House

school - but never intended to be a children's writer. He fought in

the First World War, wrote some 18 plays and three novels, and

fathered a son, Christopher Robin Milne, in 1920. Christopher led

Milne to produce a book of children's poetry, When We Were Very

Young, in 1924, and in 1926 the seminal Winnie-the-Pooh. More poems

followed in Now We Are Six (1927) and Pooh returned in The House at

Pooh Corner (1928).

他们继续向前走着，没走多远，罗宾说道：

“我也喜欢，”克里斯托弗•罗宾说道，“不过我最喜欢无所事事。”

“无所事事怎么做？”纳闷了好一会儿，维尼问道。

“啊，就是当别人来叫你干什么时，你也正好想干什么，‘你有事吗，克里斯托弗•罗宾？’你回答道：‘哦，没事。’接着跟他去做那事儿了。”

“哦，我明白了。”维尼说道。

“我们现在就是无所事事。”

“哦，我明白了。”维尼又说道。

“意思就是只管朝前走，听着那些无法听见的声音，心中没有烦恼。”

“哦！”维尼说道。

“维尼，说你保证不会忘记我，永远，甚至当我一百岁的时候，你也不会忘了我。”

维尼想了一会儿。

“那时候我多少岁了？”

“九十九岁。”

维尼点点头。

“我保证。”他说道。

“It don’t do them any Good, you know, sitting on them,” he went on, as he looked up munching. “Takes all the Life out of them. Remember that another time, all of you. A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes all the difference.”

“There’s Pooh,” he thought to himself. “Pooh hasn’t much Brain, but he never comes to any harm. He does silly things and they turn out right. There’s Owl. Owl hasn’t exactly got Brain, but he knows Things. He would know the Right Thing to Do when Surrounded by Water. There’s Rabbit. He hasn’t Learnt in Books, but he can always Think of a Clever Plan. There’s Kanga. She isn’t Clever, Kanga isn’t, but she would be so anxious about Roo that she would do a Good Thing to Do without thinking about it. And then there’s Eeyore. And Eeyore is so miserable ...

  我真喜欢小熊维尼，真想我不是我，我是维尼。

  我好喜欢蜂蜜，喜欢到只喜欢蜂蜜。

  我在piglet家做客，把别人的蜂蜜也舔食光，肚子鼓成了大圆球。

  这下好了，我像孙悟空一样被卡在洞口，进，进不来，出，出不去。

  罗宾和皮杰都陪着我，给我讲故事听，等待我的肚子慢慢瘪下去。

  我问罗宾得等多久，罗宾说得一个星期。

  有一天森林里下雨了，下的特别大。特别特别大。

  雨水把我的小房子淹了一半，我只好，抱着我的蜂蜜爬上门外的大树。

  我总共有十个罐罐，我们一起并排坐在高高的树枝上。

  好无聊啊，最后我把所有罐罐里的蜂蜜都吃光抹净了。雨还是特别大，特别特别大。

  没有罗宾，没有皮杰。

  我想那一刻，世界特别静。
