读这本《南回归线》时,我在北京一家体面的公关公司工作,坐在明亮的办公室里,可是他妈的口袋里只有三个钢镚。工作中我们出入一流场所,穿着廉价但看着高档的服饰,沉迷于不停地装逼,在记者面前装逼,在意见领袖面前装逼,和外企高管侃侃而谈,不计一切代价地把自己的嘴脸变成一个花言巧语的窟窿眼儿。
我他妈的怎么能受得了这种生活呢?但是我他妈的竟然还忍受了两年多!如果说有什么比喻能描述出这两年多的生活,就从野外抓一只猩猩,给它刮了脸,系上领带,再送进早高峰的十号线吧!我的公司就是这样一个快乐而装逼的团队,像一个由走私动物集结起来的非法动物园,这儿是衣冠楚楚的豪猪,那儿是脚蹬高跟鞋的长颈鹿,屋顶上还有一只鹦鹉和一只八哥,在用鬼才听得懂的语言和地球另一头的动物园打着电话!
上班时,我觉得自己像是吃了什么兴奋剂,活蹦乱跳地讨好各种人,然后转身就把烟头捻在他们的舌头上。一下了班,脱瘾的劲头上来,我躺在床上什么也做不了,窟窿眼儿下班了,大脑才开始工作。我想了这,又想了那,理不出一条头绪来。生活在北京这拨不散的浓雾和泡沫里,谁他妈还能做一个理想主义者呢!
然而,我越细想竟然越发现,身边的理想主义者竟然越来越多!他们整天讲着一些我听不懂的话语,把情怀挂在嘴边,像一个脑血栓的残废流出来的口水似的。就在这时我想起了Henry Miller的书,我真希望Miller从坟头里诈尸出来,也别抖掉身上的土,就这样冲着那些自以为是的政客,脑满肠肥的资本家,大脑空空的上班族,满心幻想的创业者,安于生活的妓女和二奶,单纯善良的大学生,以及不管他妈的从哪里来的带着掘金梦想的外国人们,射上他们一脸你存留了二十五年的浓精!
十年踪迹十年心

是谁说人会随着岁月变得柔软。
在闫红身上,我完整地看到了这个过程。
我看她早期的作品,总觉得她太冷,目光锋利,落笔如刀,有一股属于年青的狠劲儿。看完《哪一种爱不千疮百孔》后,我写到:
与张爱玲相比,闫红的冷在横向上范围要小一点,纵向上却更深刻。她的一双冷眼像一把尖刀深深剜进传奇的最深处,誓要将蒙在外面的那层暧昧的暖色戳破,掷出冷冰冰的结论。她举着解剖刀,将一个个光鲜亮丽的传奇人物分离得骨是骨肉是肉,偏偏动作还那么专业那么优雅,把人的目光生生吸引过去,明明知道结果是意外是幻灭,也忍不住一看又看。
一路看下来,却感觉到文字背后的那个人越来越温柔了。到了《彼年此时》时,我的评价已经变成:
我一直认为闫红是看懂了生活本质的人,无论是写秦淮八艳,写张爱玲,写胡适情事,写红楼梦中人,写诗经里的爱情,她都是带着自己对生活的理解在写。我有时候会想,这样犀利,把什么都看透了,多没劲儿啊!可是看这本书的时候,我发现,闫红只是看透,却并没有看破,在字字见血的文字背后她仍然有一颗温柔的心。
这种转变在同样是写张爱玲的两本书《哪一种爱不千疮百孔》和《她因灵魂而被爱》的对比中看的最清楚。前者是不留情面的真相,后者则更多了些索隐之趣和八卦之心。
如今这本《十年心事梦中人》面世,和十年前的《误读红楼》对照,也很有趣。文章分类差不多是一样的,连章节名都没换,可是文字的温度却与当年不同,从前的锋利如刀变成了如今的柔情似水。
她能看到黛玉的自苦,可是终于也能体谅宝钗的圆融了。宝姐姐最为人诟病的“嫁祸黛玉”一段被解释成了“时间差”——她认为宝钗在说出那句“颦儿,我看你往那里藏!”的时候是想让小红误以为黛玉已经离开了。这一点我愿意相信,因为当年看书的时候我就是这样想的。
她能看到宝玉的情,也能关注到贾琏的暖。贾琏在书中很多时候是作为宝玉的对照项,宝玉的温柔缱绻是情,他爱吃姐姐妹妹们的胭脂,与丫头嬉闹,与黛玉共枕,看宝钗的粉臂出神,用湘云的洗脸水梳洗……处处都是情;而贾琏代表的则是淫,常常是精虫上脑就不管不顾,巧姐生病时那一段最是露骨,可是闫红却在他对待下人晚辈的态度和评价贾雨村那句话中看出了这个贵族子弟未被完全磨灭的良心。
这样的例子在书中俯拾皆是,看书的时候会被一股暖意包裹,我想,那时岁月带给她的温柔和慈悲。
可除此之外,她又依旧通透,依然敢想敢说。贾母在处理贾赦强要鸳鸯一事时的微妙态度,香菱命中注定的悲剧,贾雨村没有守住的底线,贾府大厦将倾时的清冷前兆……都是冷到骨子里的真实,摸得到肌理的深入,可是在表达上,闫红却较之以前多了一分温情和善意,少了一分尖刻和犀利。
前段时间听蒋勋说红楼,最喜欢他解读底层人物,如李奶妈、贾环、贾瑞、赵姨娘、马道婆等人。我们看《红楼梦》的时候遇到这些人,往往站在自己的角度,只觉得嫌恶,却不会想是什么让这些人变得如此讨人嫌。蒋勋有旧式文人的温润和宽和,往往将这些人放在当时当地的环境中,用弗洛伊德的方式去体味他们的心境。一部《红楼梦》,说的都是人生的不可解,王孙公子有王孙公子的不可解,这些卑微者也有卑微者的不可解。曹雪芹花大笔墨去刻画这些人也是因为对人性多面的深刻认识。而在这本书中,闫红也花了大篇幅去探讨主角之外的人物,这是通透之后的善意。
一本书,她读了二十多年,写了十几年,十年的心事婉转都在文字间了。我希望看她一直写下去,从冷眼到热心,从烈火烹油鲜花着锦的前厅到聚光灯扫不到的后院,从文本的细节和况味抵达要咀嚼无数遍才能有所体悟的人性深处。
