Poverty entails fear, and stress, and sometimes depression; it means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own efforts - that is something on which to pride yourself, but poverty itself is romanticised only by fools.

Talent and intelligence never yet inoculated anyone against the caprice of the Fates, and I do not for a moment suppose that everyone here has enjoyed an existence of unruffled privilege and contentment.

Ultimately we all have to decide for ourselves what constitutes failure, but the world is quite eager to give you a set of criteria, if you let it.

It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.

The knowledge that you have emerged wiser and stronger from setbacks means tat you are, ever after, secure in your ability to survive. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I've ever earned.

Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation; in its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathise with humans whose experiences we have never shared.

  实际上是新零售市场的观察，属于类似调研报告的东西。时效性很强，出电子版比较合适，可以每个Q更新一次。内容还是比较细致的，但缺乏足够的数据说明问题。

  只给4颗星因为这本书标价也太黑了点，14块欧元多。总共80页薄薄一本，字数并不多所以行间距有多宽可想而知。配图也很奇怪，和内容丝毫不搭，感觉是故意弄出点魔幻效果。

  这个演讲总共讲了两点，直白的说：

  1)失败并不可怕，一个没有失败经历的人生本身就是失败的

  2)应该试着去了解这个世界上其他人的生活，勇于站出来去帮助有困难的人。（其实副标题是The fringe benefits of failure and the importance of imagination。没读之前压根没想到她会由想象力延伸出来去讲这个）。

  通篇都没有炫耀自己的成功史，作为毕业典礼上的演讲我觉得她的两个角度选的很好。
