  This book isn’t any normal book you’d expect it to be. It is full of complements about slavery by the people from the Library of Congress and slaves themselves. You can discover tons of facts about slavery you hadn’t even caught a glimps before.

  Slavery, a very cruel thing. It caused African kids got separated from their family, African wives got separated from their husbands… But, what do the whites care? Those thick-headed fools only cared about themselves. They took Africans only for their rotten fields, only to care for their cry-babies and so on. They got all their fours, so there’re no reasons they are any better off than the niggers. They could work in the fields too. They could care for their babies too. They whites and the African lived so far, so many continents! Why bother them?

  Another thing is white people should not beat the Africans. Like what I said, the Africans know nothing about their master’s babies. The whites can take care of their babies by themselves. They are their blood and bones, they know much more. If the slaves didn’t take good care of that white babies, to me, it’s the whites’ themselves to blame. Who let them chose the Africans as their baby-sitters? Silly-silly dudes!

  The white hecks have many ways to beat their slaves. They’d tie them on a stake and beat them, but, if the slave owners let a trusted slave to handle the job, then the slave who needs to be beaten would have such a luck! Now, everybody must know that this solution I’m about to say only works when that slave owner ISN’T watching. That trusted slave would tie the slave to a stake, then whip another stake instead of the stake that tied the slave! What do the slave do then? The slave would shriek in pain so hard that the slave owner would tell the slave ‘beating’ “Stop beating my slave! What do you want to do? Kill Him?” After that, the slave who was ‘beaten’ would ran to the slave owner, with berry wine smudged all over his back in lines and whimpering! Oh, what a nice trick!

  But, not all whites are baddies. I’ve read about some paragraphs in this book. Some anti-slavery whites would feel sorry for the blacks and brought them down and set them free.

  从来不是一个特别能静下心看书的人，从读书时代的教科书到杂志，更别提好多看到一半就看不下去的小说，但是却一字不落地看完了这本小说

  夜照亮了的夜，彼此心里的那一盏灯照耀着对方前行，所以不管是在内蒙，在北京，在南京，在五台山，在过去，在遥远又不可预知的未来，他们都不会走散
