  作为固体理论第一本书来看是很好的，虽然谈不上有什么深刻见解，但各处理论都提供了基本的入门~除了高温超导和极化子激子理论和无序系统的一般理论方法没看以外其他在第一次学固体都应该看了，而且还只是个开始，很多东西要在进一步的研究中回来思考来搞清楚。本书应尽可能通读，便于导向更广阔的理解

  This book is a little bit boring to me.

  It’s about two kids —— Joey and his sister, Mary Alice on the trips to their grandma’s during summer holidays along the years. It’s not exciting at all. It’s just like a plate of food without salt.

  As you know, this book has sequels., <A Year Of Yonder>, <A Season Of Gifts>… I'm not sure the sequels are anything better, but I don’t think I’m having any more.

• 译林的质量真是让人汗颜

  故事是好的，可译林的校对也太不严谨了。P9："1962年在夏伊洛，打下维克斯堡的当儿……"南北战争竟然是1962年的事，严重吐血。下面的注释写明了“1861年至1865年间”，可见这错误是多打眼。

  另外在译林出的另一本书《布鲁克林有棵树》也发现了很多错别字什么的，真是无语。
