Amar Bhidé is the Glaubinger Professor of Business at Columbia University, editor of Capitalism and Society, member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the author of The Origin and Evolution of New Businesses. A former McKinsey & Company consultant, Bhidé was educated at the Indian Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and later served as an associate professor.

  論文集，全書最欣賞＜德運之爭與遼金王朝的正統性問題＞和＜元明革命的民族主義想象＞，問題意識絕佳而論證縝密。另，作者之博學相當罕見，連錢鍾書（頁59）、舒爾茨和榮格（頁201）都讀過。大概因作者英年早逝，不能編輯，若干論文之間的段落相同。又，對作者稱太平天國本身無民族主義頗存疑問。

  目前中国的政治、文化和经济体制恐怕很难形成Venturesome Economy来支持高端创新。但是，如果引导得当，或许我们可以替代印度在frugal innovation上占领优势，进而成为中端创新的世界核心。

• 总体还行，对翻译不太满意

  前半部分主要讲的是基础发现，可读性和可信度较高。后半部分是复杂网络在各个领域的体现及应用吧。感觉第13章有些吹，如果复杂网络对于生命科学真有如此大的作用，我会很乐意看到这样的成果。

  第八章，复杂网络和BEC对应起来了，有点意思。

  专业词汇翻译依然是这类作品翻译的硬伤，仅列举几个：

  dynamics翻成“动能”

  fractal翻成“不规则碎片形”

  condensed matter physics成了“浓缩物质物理学”

  NP“完成”问题

  bipartite graphs “双向网络图”
