Grade 6 Up?Things are not what they seem in this story of wit, adventure, and philosophy. Gen, an accomplished thief incarcerated for stealing the king's seal, is dragged from his cell by the king's magus, who is on a quest. The prize is Hamiathes's Gift, said to be a creation of the gods that confers the right of rule on the wearer. During the quest, the magus and Gen take turns telling the youngest member of their party myths about the Eddisian god of thieves. Turner does a phenomenal job of creating real people to range through her well-plotted, evenly paced story. No one is entirely evil or completely perfect. Gen is totally human in his lack of discipline, seeming lack of heroism, and need for sleep and food. The magus makes the transition from smug, superior scholar to decent guy in a believable fashion. Turner also does a neat job of puncturing lots of little prejudices. There are many deft lessons in this story. As absorbing as it is, the best part lies in the surprise ending. Though it is foreshadowed throughout, it is not obvious?its impact is more like morning sunlight than a lightning bolt.   故事一开始主角被营造成一个不小心的失足大叔？少年？（这货的年龄真是搞不清楚）我以为这个自称很厉害的神偷会有什么了不起的作为。因此我耐着性子打着哈欠一路看下来，我容易嘛我！你说你这自我感觉很NB的神偷倒是有点行动啊，可从头到尾都是被人牵着鼻子走，结果他最行的也就是讲讲故事发发牢骚嚷嚷着要吃要喝而已。前面一半搞了半天东拉西扯，在路上走了好几章闷得我想死。。。熬到三分之二了还是P都没有！总而言之，这真的是一本无比无聊的书，最后几章我真的看不进去看完也不知道看了个啥。看书最怕这种类型了~人物性格又太单调，我只觉得这群男人很gay哈哈~是作者叙述方式问题还是什么的。浪费我钱浪费我时间！！！！

  可能是YA的原因，敌对的人物之间好像有点太友好了。以及，整个故事一直在说主角多么炫酷但是并没有感觉到任何魅力... 甚至觉得略蠢。也许我小时候看会喜欢吧？第二部读到大半弃了，实在看不下去了，情节没意思也不是很有动力去了解比较空洞的人物

  作為一本Newbery得獎書籍，我對它是有期待的。單看簡介，就覺得這樣的內容情節對我的吸引力是挺大的，只可惜整本書看下來，個人感覺瑕疵的地方還不少，並不如想像中生動吸引。

  作為一本第一人稱視覺的作品，主角——也就是“我”的性格是否能夠吸引讀者是很關鍵的。主角性格討喜，讀者自然能夠跟隨著書中角色的經歷同悲同喜，看得分外投入，但若主角不討人喜歡，那效果自然大打折扣了。試問誰會喜歡跟著一個自己不喜歡的人去看他所看到的世界，去了解他內心的感想和心理活動呢？！《小偷》整本書，說實在，主角並不討我喜歡。當然，在後面的情節大逆轉中，我們可以看到吉恩的忍辱負重，他的隱忍和堅持都是為了他所效忠的女皇，在此時，他的情操自然昇華了不少，但，不要忘記，也許是書中篇幅安排失當吧，在整本書起碼一半的內容，我只看到一個只懂得不斷抱怨、拖後腿、連騎馬都不會、膽小懦弱、只會吃喝睡卻又自大得幾乎一無是處的主角。這樣先入為主的感覺是很可怕的，它足以影響讀者對整本書的觀感。就我個人而言，即使到最後知道吉恩是為了自己的女皇而當小偷，忍辱負重地在別國的牢房裡過著這麼生不如死的日子，也不能挽回前半段我對他的印象跌到低點的局面啊！

  再者，以吉恩為第一人稱，他總是對他身邊的人以“他”、“他”、“他”稱呼，以至於作為讀者的我總是要翻前顧後的去思量，究竟此時吉恩口中的“他”是指代誰，這種感覺實在太累了。當然，這個表述不清的毛病是作者原文的問題還是翻譯的問題就不得而知了。

  就內容而言，個人感覺作者的表述能力並不出眾。其實一趟尋寶之旅，要是作者願意，理應是可以寫得很生動出色的，但遺憾的是，在這本書中並沒有看到這些。一如前段所言，整本書以超過一半的篇幅去敘述吉恩和國師一行人從沙尼斯出發去尋寶的過程，而偏偏這個過程中，我看到的似乎只是一直的趕路啊，吉恩的不住抱怨、吃喝拉撒、早餐吃什麼、晚餐吃什麼、除了睡覺就是和旁邊的人鬥嘴爭吵——容我不好意思說一句，那該有多無聊啊！好吧，也許有些讀者會反對說，當然不是，你沒看到作者一直在鋪排他的梗啊，從吉恩與國師、包爾和其他人的矛盾中可以慢慢琢磨出事情的端倪不是？！好吧，對不起，這個梗實在埋得太深了，前端的無趣足以讓我忽略掉所有不尋常的氣息。要不是最後謎底解開發現吉恩就是女皇的小偷，單從前面的行文看來，要是最後結局作者告訴我們吉恩沒什麼神秘身份，其實就是個平凡的混混，是個牛皮吹破被捉到監牢裡面的小偷，那也沒有什麼說不過去的地方。反正看到最後，我實在沒有那種：“啊，原來如此，難怪之前這個人會有這麼奇怪的反應，事情會這麼離奇”之類的感概。身份被揭穿，我也只是“哦”而已。究竟是我沒投入地看進去弄明白呢，還是這本書真的如此深藏不露呢？！誰知道！

  最後要抱怨下翻譯，對我而言，這樣的翻譯只能勉強合格吧，很多地方都沒有以讀者能看明白為最終目標，而且錯漏比比皆是。偷寶藏的神殿那段，有幾個單詞如“naos”譯不出來就直接中原文單詞寫上，我一看到這裡不覺笑了——這個翻譯也太不負責任了吧！！還有後面吉恩把從國師身上偷到的石頭從頭髮裡拿出來的時候，他說那個髮帶是包爾給他的，其實前文明明說過，那是吉恩問索方斯要來的；另外文中後段描述艾迪斯女皇的時候，卻把她說成是亞多利亞國的美人了。這樣的低級錯誤，要不是我理解出錯，實在不應該在書中找到啊！

  好久没遇到后浪出版如此优秀的作品了。

  作为一部获得安古兰大奖的作品，《冰岛萨迦：格里姆尔传奇》绝对实至名归。这部作品波澜壮阔，荡气回肠，无论是剧情还是画面，都达到了我心目中杰作的水准。

  现代化前的冰岛是一个自然灾害频繁，人民生活困苦的“蛮荒”之地，在这片大地上，天生神力的孤儿格里姆尔为了留下自己的传奇，在无比艰难的环境中努力生存，并坚持着自己的理想。但一次偶然的遭遇让他爱上了一个女孩儿，人生从此改变。可惜他不善言辞，又被人诬陷为杀人犯，只能独自生活，被人视为怪胎。正当大家为他的行为感到费解，并将他视为危害而杀害之后，才发现他多么的深爱着女孩儿，以及冰岛这片土地。

  我想，真正的传奇，不是先人们刻意造就的，也不是当权者授意伪造的，而是活生生的人用其一生的时间书写的。这部作品完美诠释了这一点。
