  总体评价：鸡肋书。

  核心观点：消费是为了炫耀，炫耀是为了性和生育，和原始人一样。孔雀的尾巴和悍马H1，本质上都是动物信号，吸引异性的信号。

  然后加上大五人格和一般智能（这个翻译感觉不妥）的介绍，再来一些不同商品与大五人格之间的自圆其说。

  最后讲讲如何减少和避免炫耀性消费。

  多么无聊的一本书哦。

  湛卢的书真是越来越没可读性了。

• 第一章可以重点看

  职业道德课程推荐书目之一。略读了一遍，感觉这是一本值得反复翻阅的参考书。

  因为没有太多的工作经历，所以后面几章都是略读，有点隔岸观火的感觉，相信后面再读会有更多领悟。

  第一章跟个人密切相关，所以看起来会感觉更贴切一些，很多地方都说到点子上了，而且内容精简而不羞涩，时间有限的话可以先读第一章：(Mostly) About You。多少会对自己的职业修行有所增益。

  以下的这句话是作者引用Alfie Kohn的一句话，相当精炼，个人挺喜欢的:

  "Pay people well and fairly, then do everything possible to help them forget about money."
