  这不是一本有趣、传奇的书，是一个“普通”肯尼亚女人的回忆录。她为了家乡，如植物的根一样坚定的、不屈的钻入大地，把自己的一生都奉献给了生她养她的地方。读书的过程是很枯燥的，因为情节太平淡了，但是一直到读完了才发现这段人生震撼之处就在于你觉得主人公絮絮叨叨讲了很多似乎没用的，实际上都是在描绘一棵大树的影子。

  也许东西方文化不同，也许年龄作祟，抑或心灵已不再童真，再或看惯了世俗小说长篇大论的套路，反正，不太相信这本小书获得了国际安徒生奖，66个小童话就如同66个白色的方块相互拼凑搭配，就是那么简单，因为无论怎样组合都是白水。是啊，就是那么简单。
