Gabrielle Balkan is best known for non-fiction books that delight readers ages 5-12 with curious and essential facts about the United States and animal record-breakers. Her books include The 50 States, 50 Cities, Book of Bones, and Book of Flight; Whose Bones? An Animal Guessing Game (Phaidon, Fall 2020); Megafauna: The Gigantic Beasts That Once Walked Among Us (working title) (Workman, Fall 2021). She lives, works, and rides bikes in Brooklyn with her twin 5th graders, two cats, and a writer husband. In 2020 she was nominated for an Indiana Author Award.

  谈的太浅，用作文体完成了诸多知识点的堆砌，有些章节感觉真的是为了字数而写？

  其实有意思的不是这些人说了什么本身，但对比他们的哲学和他们的曲线可以学到很多东西。做趋势的大熊市死了一个，最后离职了。另一个做趋势的在熊市上上下下，勉强活着。按照价值投资逻辑拿死了仓位的，牛市暴涨，熊市狂跌。做专业知识（比如医疗）活的不错，比较稳健。没有太仔细研究，但是活的最稳健的似乎是牛市做价值，熊市跑得快的。

  是飞姐给的书。作者上野正彦，法医。小本，很薄，一百多页。讲那些自己的经历，对生死的感悟。读来感觉作者是一个很温暖的老头，读得很舒服、安心。

  • 人，并不是为了国家而生，是作为一个个体而生。那些重视自己，潜心钻研，并拥有自由精神的人，最后都能推动社会前进。

  • 不管做什么工作，人都应该抱着拼尽全力的心态，而且不应该对自己撒谎。瞒得了一时，瞒不了一世。他自己应该也心知肚明，如果出了错，还是要尽快谢罪。我希望人都能够诚实，像流水那样自然。明明出生时，都坦诚直率，但随着成长渐渐就变得虚伪起来，这是何等悲哀。不管是谁都会犯错，都会失败，所以直率的承认就行了，说谎很简单，但我们需要道歉的勇气。敢于道歉的人更了不起。希望你记住，诚实比任何东西都宝贵，诚实的好处有很多，一个诚实的人，那些装模作样的人不会接近你，而真实坦率的人会来支持你。
