　　Andrew Coles, PhD, is an active trader running a private

investment fund. He has a diploma in technical analysis from STA–UK

and from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA).

He is also a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe). He holds a

master's and a doctorate and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of

the British Academy.During his graduate and postdoctoral years, he

worked at a number of institutions, including King's College (KQC)

London, the Institute of Classical Studies, and Oxford University.

He is the author of a previous book on the history and philosophy

of science.

  # “配分函数的求和号长得像Windows中的压缩文件图标，而它作为核心物理量的意义也在于导出各种各样的热力学量”，初涉统计物理的我是这么记的。本书的深度也差不多是这样，配分函数被比喻成了“肉肠制作机”。读者不会看到配分函数作为“态密度的拉普拉斯变换”、“矩的生成函数”等讨论，以及用密度算符表述的量子统计等。但对于像当时的我一样，对普物中的热学感到不耐烦、又刚刚开始学量子力学的人来说，它却是一本恰到好处的教材。另外还能找到完整的习题解答，真不错。

  如果一个70岁老人，被诊断得了阿尔兹海默症，他会如何面对余生呢？如果这个老人曾经是个杀人犯，他会忘记自己做过的事情吗？

  在韩国作家金英夏的小说《杀手的记忆法》中，就讲述了一个罹患阿尔兹海默症的70岁连环杀手的故事。

  “我”曾经在16岁的时候，就杀掉了自己的父亲。因为父亲总是醉酒，酒后殴打母亲和妹妹。“我”说，“父亲是我的创世纪。”

  从此以后，一直到45岁出了一场车祸，“我”在30年间杀掉了十几个人，并且成功逃过追诉期。

  今年，“我”已经70岁了，记忆力变得越来越差，甚至连朝夕相处领养的女儿都快认不出来了。

  医生说“我”得了阿尔兹海默症。“我”觉得，这是上天和我开的一个天大的玩笑。一个杀手怎么可以慢慢忘记自己曾经做过的事情呢？

  如果遗忘，就能让人解脱，那么世界上所有做过亏心事的人，都得病好了。

  读这本书的过程可以这样来形容：176页的故事，最后30页花去了我大部分时间。也就是说，这本书前面大部分看得非常流畅，直到最后揭开谜底时，我懵了……

  当我看到最后时惊觉：这本书之前所说的一切，都有可能是假的，都是不存在的；而“我”的一切所作所为，都与老年痴呆有着千丝万缕的关系。即便是他年轻时所犯下的罪行，在他的记忆中也会有偏差。

  最后也出现了一丝诡异的现象：办案刑警对于“我”说的话，体现出最大程度的宽容，甚至可以对着他微笑。我不知道这里面有什么玄机，只是觉得，本书作为这名杀手用第一人称写就的故事，既悲伤，又让人无言以对。

• 班级边缘的"夏洛克"

  千百年来，莎翁笔下的《威尼斯商人》被贴上了喜剧的标签。或许这部剧结束的时候，鲍西娅"选匣择婿"，最终和巴萨尼奥有情人终成眷的幸福结局可喜可泣;杰西卡和罗兰挣脱宗教的束缚和枷锁，浪漫私奔的故事大快人心;亦或，安东尼奥在法官的咄咄逼人，巧言善辩的辩护后免受割肉之刑令人津津乐道。可我，看完了这部戏剧后，只感到一种情绪——愤怒。

  我同情夏洛克以及当时每一个犹太人的境遇——居住在指定的地方，像牲畜一样被基督教徒看管;白天出入公关场所必须要戴一顶红色的帽子，那是基督徒眼中冷酷无情的犹太人的标志;不能拥有任何财产，再多的金币也不能购得一处房子。于是，他们能够做的只有尽可能地储备金钱，抵抗那些无法预计的风险。

  有人指责夏洛克的贪婪自私，因为他们未曾想过安东尼奥夺去了夏洛克几十万的生意，讥笑他的亏蚀，挖苦他的盈余，破坏他的买卖。

  有人控诉夏洛克野蛮残忍，因为他们未曾想过安东尼奥曾吐唾沫在夏洛克的犹太长袍，侮蔑他的民族，离间他的朋友，煽动他的仇敌。

  夏洛克被剥夺了财产和女儿，连信仰权都被"慈悲"的基督教徒们夺走!他握紧圣物跪道在地，无声悲泣……

  在我眼里，夏洛克不仅是一位饱受不公的可怜人，他更是一位来自犹太名族——这个经历过一百年奴隶，四十年旷野，五百年战乱，六十年囚徒，两千年流亡的民族的斗士!是他,这个饱经沧桑的老人站在基督教徒的法庭上，面对满庭口诛舌伐的基督教徒，义正言辞地指责基督教徒对奴隶的剥削。

  让我印象最为深刻的一幕，是电影里，法庭上夏洛克手握圣物，崩溃得跪倒在地。他就像当时社会的边缘人，被多数人的暴力和强权孤立得毫无容身之处。

  或许，有人会觉得夏洛克只是书里的角色，或者是生活在距今几千年前的一名普通犹太人。可是，夏洛克真的离我们远吗?不!其实夏洛克就在我们身边，就坐在最圣洁的教室里。

  在我的小学和中学阶段，我都目睹了班上的同学经历校园霸凌，同学孤立。我至今也忘不了初中时，班上一个长相一般的女生被欺负的场景。男生们嘲笑她，给她起恶俗的外号，甚至有调皮的男生把酸奶倒在她的书包里，把垃圾倒在她的课桌里。我当时也人云亦云的嘲笑过她。她就像夏洛克一样，处在班级的边缘，被孤立。现在想想最可悲的是当时的班主任知道这些情况，可是并未采取有效的措施引导学生们。我想，这些同学们的伤害一定给那位女生带来了不可磨灭的心灵创伤。

  不久的将来，我也会成为一名教师，我想我的第一个愿望就是让我的班上不再有这样的"夏洛克"。
